What is the difference between the 1, 2 and 3 star rated selections?

We base our selections on many factors; most importantly, class, distance, weight and fitness. And to lesser extent, jockeys, barrier draws, etc. All of our selections are horses that satisfied most of these criteria and the star ratings are used firstly to indicate appropriate odds needed and if a selected horse has met with more or less of these conditions in order to put in a top performance on the day.

We provide the following guide to assist you determining which bets represent good value

     Three gold stars

Recommended price 6/4 ($2.50) or better.

    Two gold stars

Recommended price 7/2 ($4.50) or better

   One gold star

Recommended price 13/2 ($7.50) or better

   Silver star

Our tipping guys painstakingly go through every runner in every race each day trying to find the best winning chances.

In some of the midweek fixtures, particularly in those out-of-town meetings where race fields are made up mostly of below average horses, we quite often have not been successful in sorting them out.

As an added feature to our services, our in-house programmer has included  “Silver Star Selections” separate from our regular selections. This will allow us to include the horses we consider to be winning chances as well.

These horse are not be taken as bets and are only there for our members to use their own judgment if they wanted to have a bet as quite often they would bob up at long odds.

   One red star

Late inclusions are indicated by a red star placed next to the selections
